Reflections on the year that has been

And so the last day of 2017 has arrived, and what a year it has been. I love how at this time of year, we all come to reflect on what has been and even better, what is to come.

This year, Matt and I packed up what we came to know as our life in Vancouver, and made the trek all the way from the West Coast of Canada to our new home, Toronto. We spent 2 months driving across Canada and despite the cold temperatures, we tried our best to see as much as we could. Highlight of the drive being the rocky mountains (of course) and Vancouver Island.

Since our arrival in Toronto, we found an awesome little place to live and have been lucky enough to travel to Ottawa, Montreal a few times, up to the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario, a weekend in Quebec City, Iceland for my birthday, Las Vegas recently and across the border into Buffalo a few times.

We were also lucky enough to see Matt’s sister and parents in Canada this year, as well as my good friend Chris who is now living in the same time zone as me, despite being very far away.

I feel so lucky to have had the chance to spend 2017 this way, and couldn’t be more excited about what 2018 holds. Most importantly, seeing my parents in a little over 2 months, and then travelling to new and exciting places again, before returning home.

Thank you 2017!!!
